Terms and Conditions

DEFINITIONS
In these terms and conditions, the following words shall have the following meanings:
“I”, “we”, “us”, and “our” refer to Olivia James Stationery, a company in the United Kingdom.
“you” and “your” refers to the person using our website and/or placing an order.
“website” refers to our website at www.oliviajamesstationery.co.uk
“product(s)” refers to the wedding stationery products available for purchase on our website.
QUOTES
Upon your request, a quote will be provided that will be accurate at the time of the quote. We reserve the right to change the quotation in anyway at anytime until your order has been placed by paying your 50% deposit.
The quote is only valid for those that it is emailed to and for a period of no more than 30 days.
ORDERING AND PAYMENT
When you place an order on our website, via email or on Etsy, you are making an offer to purchase the products in your order. Olivia James Stationery reserve the right to accept or reject any order in our sole discretion. A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your order and start the design process. Acceptance of your order and the formation of a contract between you and Olivia James Stationery will take place when we receive your non-refundable deposit.
The full balance is due for individual items of the order once designs have been approved before going to print, or no later than one month before dispatch/collection/delivery date of those items.
You can request changes to an existing order but we reserve the right to accept or reject these changes. If your changes to an existing order are accepted, a new invoice will be provided to you and this will supersede any previous quote or invoice.
PROOF APPROVAL
For save the dates, invitations, details cards, RSVP cards and Menus you will receive a PDF proof within 7-10 days of your order date via email. Please note that you are responsible for checking your proof before approving it. This includes layout, wording, spelling and grammar. It is recommended that you also have a friend or family member check your proofs and that you view these online and print them.
Printing will not commence until the proof has been approved, therefore delays in approval will result in delays to the dispatch date.
Olivia James Stationery will print as per the proof, if designs are approved with errors or typos and subsequently printed, Olivia James Stationery will not take responsibility for these errors.
PRINT AND COLOUR
Computer monitors and web browsers vary greatly, and the colours used in the PDF proofs of your stationery may appear differently in person, once they have been printed. Proofs printed and checked on a home printer are not guaranteed to be an accurate representation of items printed professionally.
Invitations printed and finished by hand may have slight variations and irregularities in the end result. Printing may have an allowable variation of 3mm, this is print industry standard.
Printing may occur in house, or by one of our trusted print partners. Large scale items such as table plans are always printed externally. Please note that the colour of externally printed items may differ slightly to that of the stationery produced in house.
If reprints and/or extra invitations of items are required at a later date, Olivia James Stationery cannot guarantee exact colour matching to previous print runs, this is due to printing calibration.
HANDMADE PAPER
Due to the nature of the handmade recycled cotton paper, there may be slight variations in the colour and texture of the paper. Additionally, small darker flecks may be present in the paper.
CALLIGRAPHY ELEMENTS
Calligraphy envelopes, place cards and other elements are created by hand. This means that irregularities and variations may occur in the end result.
TIMESCALES
Once we have received your order information and payment, we aim to get your proofs to you within 7-10 days.
Once the proof has been approved, your stationery will be delivered within 2-6 weeks.
We make every effort to ensure that your order is processed and sent as quickly as possible. Unfortunately, these timings may change due to circumstances beyond our control, but we will always keep you updated on your order.
PACKAGING
Sustainability is one of our core values at Olivia James Stationery, and where possible we use recycled or recyclable material for our packaging. While it is not always the prettiest packaging, it is good for the environment which is of utmost importance. Where possible we also use paper and paper tape instead of plastic.
DELIVERY
We send all orders either via tracked or recorded delivery. These parcels are insured, however Olivia James Stationery is not responsible for any delivery issues caused by client error - including any incorrect delivery addresses supplied by the client, or deliveries signed for by neighbours and/or left in ‘safe spaces’. We are not responsible for any delay or failure to deliver the products caused by events beyond our control, such as strikes, natural disasters, or other circumstances that prevent us from fulfilling your order.Please ensure someone will be able to sign for your package.
OWNERSHIP
All stationery, artwork and designs are the copyright of Olivia James Stationery. All rights reserved and they may not be reproduced in any form without the prior written permission of Olivia James Stationery. Any improper or illegal use of the stationery, artwork or designs will be pursued.
CREDITS AND PROMOTION
Olivia James Stationery reserve the right to include photos of final invitations and other designed goods in their portfolio including photos shared on social media and copies in sample packs. If you do not want photos of your stationery to be shared please do let us know.
PROBLEMS WITH YOUR ORDER
Please check all stationery upon receipt. Although extremely rare, any damage or miscounted stationery must be highlighted within two days of delivery.
RETURNS AND REFUNDS
As the majority of your order will involve personalisation and/or customisation, if you decide to cancel your order, we kindly request that you notify us promptly. While the non-refundable deposit cannot be reimbursed, we will make every effort to resolve the situation by assessing the stage of the design process and providing a refund less any appropriate compensation for any time or materials expended by us.
We will only offer the refund calculated based on the sentence above on personalised items if they are faulty and this can be proved to have not been caused by your negligence and before the items have been used. For the purchase of non-personalised items you can return these within 14 days of receipt and receive a full refund excluding any postage and packaging but the items must be returned in the original or suitable packaging so as to avoid damage and sent special delivery at cost to you.
GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION
These terms and conditions and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the UK. Any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these terms and conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the UK.
